Adaptability is an essential tool in any efficient manager’s briefcase and Lauren Pereira has it in spades. After completing an apprenticeship at a globally recognised hairdressing salon and claiming numerous national awards, she turned her attention to the world of finance where she rose through the ranks to become financial controller of a commercial electrical and air conditioning contracting, import/export company, L&S Electrical Projects & Proactive Energy.
Not content to rest on her laurels, Lauren then changed tack and moved into executive search, with a role at O’Loughlin Recruitment before she accepted an offer to join the team at Hastings Deerings Australia, one of the world’s largest Caterpillar dealerships, supporting two of their newest General Managers. Lauren is reporting directly to the General Manager of Safety and Sustainability and General Manager of Market Development and Solutions. It has been a career highlight being part of the newest evolving teams within the company.
Outside the office, Lauren keeps fit and started a networking group through social media called Girls Play Dates which has more than 500 members.
