Hugh Walsh’s career journey thus far has seen him complete two bachelor degrees, trek the Kokoda trail, spend four years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, be admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia, gain a masters degree in Carbon Management, spend two years working with the leading global advisor on climate change in London – the Carbon Trust, and finally, work as a Group Financial Accountant with CS Energy in Brisbane.
What some would achieve in a full career, Hugh has achieved in just a few short years. And judging by his drive and passion so far, he’s not done yet.
Hugh believes that being a good manager is about looking out for the good of his team, constantly learning from those around him, and most importantly, developing outstanding communication skills.
“I know there is still plenty to learn as a manager and I will continue to keep learning, but as long as I keep doing so, the opportunities to become a great manager are right there,” says Hugh.
