Bronwyn Voyce is a dynamic professional who is passionate about regional development, governance, policy and innovation in leadership and is making her mark on North Queensland.
Bronwyn’s knowledge extends across the public and private sectors and into industry, corporate and SME markets. Her cross-sector experience has afforded her the platform to develop solid business acumen and strategic problem solving skills.
As Senior Economic Development and Innovation Officer at Cairns Regional Council, Bronwyn injects her enthusiasm and can-do attitude into developing and implementing policies and programs with strategic foresight. Her key projects include; leading the development of a G20 Economic Leveraging Strategy for Cairns, enhancing the region’s innovation and entrepreneurship agenda and working with key national and international stakeholders to attract investment and grow business in the Cairns and Far North Queensland region.
Bronwyn’s genuine and professional qualities enable her to shine as a well networked, highly respected and valued leader in her field. According to colleagues, Bronwyn is a talented thinker and a compelling doer with a passion for achieving excellence in all she does. In 2011, Bronwyn was a finalist in the AIM Excellence Awards for Young Manager of the Year.
Bronwyn has a Graduate Certificate in Economic Development, a Masters in International and Community Development and a Diploma in Business Management & Administration. She enjoys taking on voluntary roles in business and community organisations and has served as Deputy Chair on the Cairns Young Chamber of Commerce Sub Committee, after being awarded the Cairns Chamber of Commerce ‘Cre8ing Leaders of Tomorrow’ scholarship, and has Chaired the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s ‘Global Illumination’ event in Cairns.
